Charlie Trotter Scholarships up to $9000

Deyanira Franco, Chicago, IL - is a full-time student enrolled at Chicago’s Kennedy King College and is taking classes at Washburne Culinary Institute. Her dream is to become a professional chef.

Oscar Gonzalez-Jaime, Chicago, IL - is a second-year student at Washburne Culinary Institute, taking classes in Garde Manager, Food Service, and Nutrition for Chefs.  His future goals include owning a restaurant.

Edali Marban, Chicago, IL - is a current college student enrolled at Chicago’s Kennedy King College. She is working towards a bachelor’s degree in both Culinary and Baking & Pastry

Homaro Cantu Scholarships $10,000

Kristiana Prado, Glenbard East High School, Lombard, IL - is a current high school student who will be attending the Culinary Institute of America in the fall. Her goal is to become a professional pastry chef.

Juliana Stuertz, Clarkston Senior High School, Clarkston, MI - is a current high school student who will be attending the Culinary Institute of America in the fall. During her junior year, she attended culinary arts and hospitality classes at a local technical campus. Her plans include owning a patisserie in downtown Chicago with a significant role in fighting hunger in the community as well as reducing her ecological footprint.

Kelvin Williams, Phoenix Academy, Annapolis, MD - is a current high school senior who will be attending Anne Arundel Community College in the fall. He is working towards a degree in both Culinary Arts and Pastry Chef. Kelvin is currently in a culinary program at his school called ProStart. He would like to open a restaurant that creates comfort food with an emphasis on homeless community outreach and job creation.

Emily Yee, Marlborough High School, Los Angeles, CA - is a current high school senior who will be attending Cornell University in the fall. She dreams of owning her own hotel someday and has gained valuable hotel hospitality experience through various internships, student initiatives, part-time jobs, and more.

Pursuit of Excellence Scholarships up to $9000

Lisa Hecht, Philadelphia, PA- is a freshman at Walnut Hill College. She is working towards a degree in Culinary Arts. Her goal is to work in recipe development, food styling, food photography, and food writing.

Miles Hill-Cashaw, Greater Johnstown High School, Johnstown, PA - is attending Johnson and Wales University in the fall. He is majoring in Baking & Pastry and would like to make pastries that go beyond traditional offerings. He currently works at two restaurants where he is gaining experience in food prep and more.

Kimberly Kee, Kingston, Jamaica- is a sophomore at Johnson and Wales University studying Culinary Arts. Previously, Kimberly attended the Kendall College Culinary Arts Camp in Chicago as well as other culinary lab programs. Her ultimate goal is to become an executive chef.

Nia Spencer, Chicago, IL- is a junior at Monroe College studying Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management. She is looking forward to her semester abroad in Italy this fall. Nia is working towards becoming a successful caterer.
