Charlie Trotter’s spirit of mentorship lives on though The Trotter Project—a 501c3 founded and supported by his mother Dona-Lee, sister Anne, brothers Scott and Tom, and son Dylan.

The Trotter Project seeks to unite those interested in the culinary arts, along with the hospitality and service industries, through a variety of educational and inspiring events and programs.

The Trotter Project’s programs inspire minds, propel careers and build community:

  • ProStart Program – mentorship program in all 50 states and U.S. military bases in Europe and Asia, in partnership with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation
  • Careers Through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) – paid internships for 30-60 students each year
  • Fundraising events – seasonal events and celebrations of Trotter’s legacy of which proceeds go to funding programs and maintaining Charlie Trotter’s restaurant and studio, the hub for youth engagement and events
